Witnesses sought over bank robbery

Armed robbers who stole a substantial amount of money from a bank in south Belfast were forced to flee the scene on foot after their getaway vehicle failed to start.

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who has any information about the robbery at a shopping complex on the Saintfield Road in Knockbreda shortly after 11am yesterday. One robber is described as 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build and was wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers and white trainers.
