Twenty-one passengers have died after a speeding bus plunged off a bridge in southern India and burst into flames.
Villagers helped police put out the fire before pulling the charred bodies from the wreckage in the early hours of Wednesday.
Only two people including the driver survived, said police.
The accident happened just before midnight when the bus tried to overtake a truck and plunged over the bridge into a dry gully in Avallur village of Tamil Nadu state.
Police said the driver would be charged with negligent driving.
