21 killed in Turkish bus crash

Twenty-one people died when a bus crashed on a snowy road in Turkey

A passenger bus in Turkey has veered off a snow-covered road and tipped on its side, killing 21 people and injuring 20 others, officials said.

The bus, travelling from Istanbul to the eastern province of Mus, crashed in the central province of Kayseri, governor Orhan Duzgun said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation and it is not known if foggy weather and snow were a factor.

The private Dogan news agency said police are investigating the possibility that the driver might have fallen asleep.
