Violence marred the match between Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt in the Austrian town of Eugendorf

Twenty-five people were arrested and seven injured in the Austrian town of Eugendorf following violence at a football match between Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Police said about 50 Frankfurt fans stormed the stadium entrance and injured security staff last night, while fans from both clubs fought on the field after the friendly match, which Frankfurt won 2-1.

Clashes later continued outside the ground and p olice used pepper spray to separate the rival groups.

Two police officers were injured.

Local authorities said the game was attended by 1,100 spectators, including 300 Frankfurt and 450 Leeds fans.
