Body confirmed as missing student

One of 43 missing college students has been identified among charred remains found several weeks ago near a rubbish dump, Mexico's attorney general has confirmed.

Jesus Murillo Karam said the student was Alexander Mora, based on material extracted from a bone and analysed by forensics experts at a laboratory in Innsbruck, Austria.

Mr Murrillo Karam said today that 80 people have been arrested over the students' disappearance on September 26 at the hands of the mayor and police in the city of Iguala in southern Guerrero state. He said the investigation continues.

Family members revealed the match yesterday and said the struggle for justice and to find the remaining 42 will not stop with just one student identified.
