Bomb kills two at Indian bus stop

A crude bomb killed two people at a busy bus stop a day after another explosion injured five people in the same north-east Indian city.

Police superintendent Jayanta Singh says authorities are searching for clues as to who is behind the two explosions in the centre of Manipur state's capital of Imphal. No one has claimed responsibility for either attack.

The bomb this morning went off as people were gathered at a covered bus stop about two miles from the home of the chief minister, Manipur's highest elected official.

A bomb set off remotely exploded at a market place in Imphal yesterday morning before the market opened.
