British father and son 'shone laser pens at planes from hotel balcony in Spain'
Two British tourists - a father and son - face possible hefty fines for allegedly pointing laser beams at passenger planes arriving in the southern city of Malaga, Spanish police said.
The pair, aged 41 and 15, had been spotted by a police officer pointing laser pens into the air at incoming planes from their hotel balcony in Torremolinos, just outside Malaga, on Tuesday night, according to a National Police statement.
Several pilots later complained of having been disturbed by the rays, the statement said.
The two, who were not identified, could face fines of up to 600,000 euros (£540,000), it added.
