Briton dies in 'wrong-way crash'

An English motorcyclist has died after riding on the wrong side of the road in the US, authorities said.

Highway Patrol officials said the crash happened east of Woodland in Summit County, Utah.

Troopers said the man and another English tourist were riding their bikes on to the wrong side of State Route 35 when a truck approached.

One of the motorcyclists swerved out of the way, but one was hit. Officers said the truck and the motorcycle went down a steep 100ft embankment.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. His name and home town have not yet been released.

The truck driver was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
