Briton in child sex abuse arrest
A British lorry driver has been arrested in Romania on suspicion of sexually abusing young boys, police said.
James Connor, 33, was arrested by police in Vaslui on Sunday, after police started searching for a missing nine-year-old boy.
The missing child was found in the back of a truck being driven by Connor in Vaslui, along with another child, police said.
They also found laptop computer containing "obscene images involving minors".
Connor was arrested and initially held for 24 hours.
It is alleged he spent four days luring children into his truck around Vaslui, Iasi and Brasov.
He then sexually abused them, filmed the abuse and downloaded it on his computer, police said.
Police said the alleged victims were all from poor families, and Connor gave them money and food to come into his vehicle.
They said there could be as many as five victims, all aged between nine and 14 years old.
A police spokesman said: "Policemen in Vaslui's organised crime unit, in collaboration with the police's Criminal Investigation Service have documented the criminal activity of a man, 33 years, Scotland, on suspicion of child pornography."
