Britons robbed at elephant park
Two Britons were robbed during a trip to South Africa, losing money and possessions totalling more than £6,550.
The tourists, both male, were woken on Monday morning and threatened with a crowbar and rock during a stay at the Addo Elephant National Park, Eastern Cape police said.
Their bed and breakfast chalet was ransacked and items taken included money, clothing and mobile phones.
Lieutenant-Colonel Priscilla Naidu told the South African Press Association that two men, both aged 23, were later arrested in connection with the incident.
They are due to appear at Addo Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Both tourists are believed to have returned to the UK.
