US singer Cee Lo Green has declared he is a fan of "good, clean living" as he appeared in court on drugs charges.

Green, known for his Forget You hit , denies giving a woman ecstasy at a Los Angeles restaurant during a dinner last year.

Speaking outside the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday, Green - a judge on the American version of The Voice - told the media: "I'm a fan of good, clean living."

The 38-year-old artist, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, is charged with "furnishing a controlled substance" and could face four years in prison if convicted.
