College reopens as police hunt for gunman after man killed

A US community college has reopened as police search for a gunman who killed one man and wounded two others in a car park at the edge of campus.

Police said the gunman ran from the scene after the shooting near a baseball field at Sacramento City College in California, and was not found in a sweep of the campus and surrounding neighbourhood. His name has not been released.

Authorities said one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, another was taken to hospital and is expected to survive, and the third was grazed by a bullet.

Their names and ages have not been released. Two of the victims were students at the school.

Police said the shooting began as an argument between two groups of men.
