Dog slobbers into the record books

A dog has slobbered his way into the record books - despite being left for dead by his owners because of his odd appearance.
Ten-year-old Pekingese Puggy's tongue is officially longer than any other dog.
He licked the competition to secure a spot in the Guinness World Records 2011 after judges were told his 4.5in (11.43cm) tongue was almost as long as his entire body.
His owners, from Texas, US, spoke of their delight - then said his strange facial features had not always brought him luck.
Puggy was abandoned and left a stray after he was discarded by his previous owner because of his looks.
Current owner Becky Stanford said: "People who meet Puggy for the first time do a lot of double takes; they are in total disbelief and are amused by his unique appearance.
"It means a great deal to us that he has accomplished what he has. From being a stray dog, being dumped, to being a Guinness World Record Holder is just phenomenal. I just can't believe it."
