Eight shot dead in Ohio after family row
A family argument in the United states ended in the shooting deaths of eight people in two places in Ohio.
The dead included an 11-year-old child. Two more people were wounded, the authorities said yesterday.
One person shot five people to death in one location, then two more were killed nearby before police killed the gunman, Copley Township police Chief Michael Mier said.
The shootings happened in a wooded, residential neighbourhood of older homes outside Akron.
The neighbourhood remained blocked off by police yesterday.
Police officer Sgt. Eric Goodwin did not know the conditions of the wounded but said he believed there were no more victims.
