Four babies killed in hospital fire
An investigation is under way into the cause of a fire that killed four babies at a maternity hospital in Romania.
Three newborns died on Monday after the fire broke out, spreading thick smoke in the intensive care unit for premature babies at the Giulesti maternity ward in Bucharest. A fourth infant died early on Tuesday.
Eight premature babies are in a critical condition.
Health minister Cseke Attila has described the accident as one of the "darkest tragedies in the history of Romania's healthcare system".
He said 114 people were evacuated from the hospital, 53 babies and 61 women - some of whom were in labour - and taken to other units.
