Four held after cocaine seizure

Australian Federal Police said 660lbs of cocaine was seized from a yacht at the coastal town of Bundaberg

Four Spaniards have been arrested in one of Australia's largest ever cocaine seizures.

Federal Police said 660lbs of the drug was seized from a yacht at the north-eastern coastal town of Bundaberg on Friday.

The yacht was crewed by a 35-year-old man and 37-year-old woman, both of whom were arrested.

Another two Spanish men were also arrested in Bundaberg where they were allegedly collecting the cocaine.

The four Spanish nationals will appear in a Bundaberg court charged with importing cocaine, and they each face a potential life sentence if convicted.

Police said the haul was the fifth-largest cocaine seizure in Australian history.
