Gunman kills three in Swiss village of Daillon
A gunman has shot dead three people and wounded two others, Swiss police say.
The attack late on Wednesday happened in the southern village of Daillon in Valais canton, around 60 miles east of Geneva.
The suspect has not yet been identified, but witnesses say he was highly intoxicated and aged in his 30s.
Swiss broadcaster RTS said police arrested a suspect who was shot and wounded after he had threatened them.
The gunman was armed with an assault rifle and was thought to have been drinking heavily, Swiss website 20minutes.ch reported.
It quoted a villager as saying one of the dead was a woman in her 80s.
