Hulk Hogan is helped by the 'Nasty Boys' Brian Knobbs and Solofa Fatu Jnr after an altercation with Rick Flair during a press conference for Hulkamania
Wrestling star Hulk Hogan appeared to be injured after a press conference for 'Hulkamania - Let The Battle Begin' descended into a 'bloody brawl'.
The promotional event in Star City, Australia began well with stars discussing their careers and plans.
However things veered out of control when Hogan was involved in an altercation with ring rival Ric Flair.
Flair reportedly threw a table at the media section before diving on photographers.
He then removed his trouser belt and began lashing out.
Fans were left stunned as veteran wrestling star Hogan was apparently unable to get to back on his feet without assistance.
An onlooker said: "I'm devastated. The Hulk is a legend. It didn't appear to be staged - there was blood everywhere. It was a harrowing Kafkaesque experience."
Hours later Hogan appeared at a follow-up press conference to announce that he was fine and that it was just a stunt that got out of control.
“It took me about half an hour to get freshened up before I ran back out, it got a bit crazy,” he said.
“I didn’t plan on going backwards off the stage, that was a bit of a shock.”
Local media reported Hogan appeared to be fit and in good health.

the blood is never fake in wrestling idiots. they cut themselves with razors. Howd you like to do that big shot?

This was a work by a group of seasoned pro's in the Wrestling biz. This is how it's done right. The young wrestlers today should be taking notes. Wrestling is at it's best when there is doubt on whether it is a Work (Fixed), or a Shoot (Real).

This is not wrestling! Ric Flair could have at least waited until Hulk entered the ring before beating off like that!

a blatant stunt got up for idiots a smell of tomato sauce was strong ,good for followers of wrestling who are the most gullible people in the history of sport!

I'mma bit of a wrestler too and trust me I have had my fair share of being battered in the ring. It isn't pleasant. It isn't all fake you know! There are certain 'techniques' that some boxers and wrestlers use like smearing vaseline but generally you're gonna feel pain. Trust me.

I saw the video of this. I'm telling you all - the way he was running around like that he looked like a chicken. Honestly I thought he was going to choke the chicken right there and then.

I really don't understand why Ric Flair did this. Went too far! Someone should give that monkey a good spanking!

I'm glad Hulk is okay. I'd say he's had enough problems for awhile. So sad.

Having pro-wrestled the blood isn't fake. These guys cut themselves in areas where the blood flows nicely for affect. If you look you can see where the cut is.

Wrestlers dont actually use fake blood, they keep bits of razors on them to cut themselves, so its all actually real blood, so ha!

My god Hulk is dripping all over the place. Good thing Knobbs pulled out.

Hulk Hogan? Ric Flair? Oh my god is this 1992?

Once Ric Flair saw Knobbs, that's when he became over-excited. He whipped his belt off and seconds later Hulk's whole face was a mess. Not surprised that after something like that Hulk was surrounded by Nasty Boys.

I'm sure, like wrestling itself, this is just a staged act with fake blood etc. If this is genuine then surely Ric Flair would be arrected, charged with assault and banned from the "sport".
I will happily eat my words if that happens. But I am not holding my breath.
Loving the innuendo in the other messages!

Hulk Hogan's head looks like it is absolutely throbbing in that picture. It must have been so hard while he was beating Ric Flair off.
