US authorities are searching for a shooting suspect who was mistakenly released from jail.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office in Arizona said it never received the charging paperwork for 25-year-old Daniel Munoz Perez and he was released on a 320 US dollar bond after being charged on December 16 on a misdemeanour warrant.
Perez is accused of shooting at Arizona Department of Public Safety officers outside a home in Casa Grande.
Perez was injured by gunfire, admitted to a Phoenix hospital for treatment and held in another county's jail before being turned over to the Pinal County.
But county authorities said they were not notified of the warrant on Perez until December 23 - a week after he was released from custody.
Public safety officials said that Perez remains at large.
