The US hunters have said they will bring rifles, revolvers and knives as they search for the 'Mokele' - said to be the size of an elephant and similar in shape to a brontosaurus.
Team leader Joe MArrero (28) said: "It will be a challenge. Despite lots of sightings, no one has been able to collect evidence."
The exploration team are also planning to hunt for their food to survive during the trip.
