Iran arrests dual national on security-related charges
Iranian authorities have detained a dual national, alleging that the person has links to British intelligence services, according to Iran's state-run news agency.
The report from the IRNA news agency on Tuesday quoted Tehran prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi as saying the suspect had "been active in the economic field, related to Iran".
Mr Dolatabadi did not elaborate, saying only that the arrest took place last week. He did not identify the individual's second nationality.
The British Foreign Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Since Iran's nuclear deal with world powers last year, Iranian authorities have detained a number of dual nationals visiting the country, accusing them of a variety of security-related charges.
