Hi °C | Lo °C Two eight-year-old twin girls were in hospital in Russia today after being thrown from the window of their eighth floor apartment by their mother's jealous boyfriend.
Nikolai Zakharkin, a captain in the Russian military, has been charged with attempted murder.
One of the girls is in an emergency care unit, while officials said the one is in a less serious condition in hospital after yesterday's incident.
Prosecutors said that investigators believe Zakharkin was acting out of jealousy because the twins' mother was late coming home.
