Linkin Park singer found dead in LA at the age of 41
Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has died at the age of 41, the Los Angeles County coroner has said.
American website TMZ first reported the news, saying the singer's body had been found at a private residence in LA.
The band recently released their seventh album, One More Light. They released their first album, Hybrid Theory in 2000.
The band's members also include Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda.
The band's string of hits over the years include Faint, In The End and Crawling, and they have collaborated with the rapper Jay-Z.
Linkin Park released their sixth studio album in 2014, The Hunting Party, with critics praising the band for returning to their original sound.
The band were also inducted into the Rock Walk hall of fame on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
