Male hormone jab shrinks men’s waistlines

Overweight men have lost inches from their waistlines thanks to a simple jab including testosterone.

Some 255 male volunteers, aged from their 40s to 80s, were given a needle of the male hormone testosterone undecanoate which resulted in permanent weight loss.

By the end of the five year study, the men’s average weight had fallen from 16st 12lbs to 14st 4lbs and their waist average was reduced by 3.5inches, according to the Daily Express.

Farid Saad, who presented the results to the Endocrine Society in Texas, said: “There is a vicious circle in obesity and testerone. Obesity is associated with reduced testosterone.”
