Muammar Gaddafi's nurse 'returning home to Ukraine'

A Ukrainian newspaper is reporting that Muammar Gaddafi's Ukrainian nurse is planning to flee the violence in Libya and return home.

A US diplomatic cable said the Libyan dictator is deeply attached to the 38-year-old Halyna Kolotnytska. The cable released by WikiLeaks described her a "voluptuous blonde" who "knows his routine" and even suggested the two may be lovers.

The Segodnya daily quoted Ms Kolotnytska's daughter Tetyana as saying that her mother told her over the phone that she was not in danger and planned to return to Ukraine in the near future.

"She spoke in a calm voice, asked us not to worry, said she would be home soon," Tetyana Kolotnytska said, according to the report.
