Mugger pleads for 'mummy and daddy' after trying to rob female MMA fighter
An alleged Brazilian street robber got a taste of his own medicine when the woman he attacked took him down in a few swift moves.
The robber ended up pleading for mercy after the woman he tried to hold up held him in a leg grip until the police arrived.
Footage has emerged of the incident on a street in Acailandia in western Brazil.
Wesley Sousa de Araujo approached Monique Bastos, unaware that she is a professional MMA fighter and jiu-jitsu blue belt.
She also has six professional MMA fights on her record.
The men cornered Bastos on their motorbike before she took Araujo to the ground in a 'rear-naked choke' and held him in a 'triangle choke' for 20 minutes until the police arrived.
Araujo can be heard screaming in the footage: "Daddy, daddy, call the police, daddy. Help Jesus. I swear, it was the first time I've ever done this. Help, Lord, somebody help me. Where's my mummy?"
