One held after college shooting

One person has been arrested by police after a shooting at college in Georgia.

Richmond County sheriff's officials said one person was shot at Paine College in Augusta - the second shooting there in as many days. The shooting prompted a lockdown at Paine and several nearby campuses, including Georgia Regents University.

Georgia Regents University said a suspect is in custody and that the lockdown has been lifted for its campuses.

It was not immediately known if the lockdown had been lifted at Paine, a private school with just more than 800 students about 140 miles east of Atlanta.

The condition of the person shot at Paine was not immediately clear. The shooting came a day after another on Paine's campus, though it was not known if the two incidents are related
