Rocket fired to Israel falls short
A rocket fired from Lebanon toward Israel fell short, wounding a woman, a senior Lebanese military official has said.
The official said the rocket was fired late on Sunday from the southern village of Majdal Silim and hit a home in the Lebanese border village of Houla.
The attack came nearly two weeks after rockets fired from Lebanon struck northern Israel for the first time in more than two years.
The militant group Hezbollah has fired rockets into Israel in the past, but has not claimed responsibility for any attacks since 2006. Smaller militant organisations, some Palestinian and some linked to al Qaida, have launched rockets on several occasions.
The official said an investigation is under way.
