Seven die as bus falls off bridge

At least seven people are dead in Brazil after a passenger bus was forced off a bridge when another vehicle tried to pass it.

Highway police in the north-eastern state of Bahia say the bus swerved to avoid being hit by a passing van.

The bus then fell about 65 feet into a river below on Friday night. At least 28 other passengers were injured in the incident.

The highway police said on Saturday they have arrested the driver of the van.
