Several injured in head-on freight train crash in Texas
A number of people are feared to have been injured in a head-on collision involving two freight trains in west Texas.
The crash between two BNSF trains near Panhandle at about 8.40am local time left several carriages off the tracks and engulfed in flames.
Images from the scene show thick, black smoke billowing from a jumble of more then 20 freight carriages strewn along the tracks.
Billy Brown, a farmer who lives in the area, which is about 25 miles north-east of Amarillo, said he saw a fireball erupt after the collision occurred.
