Six children have died in a fire at a school teaching the Koran in Turkey, the state-run news agency has reported.

The Anadolu Agency said three other children were injured in the fire at the school in Karaagac village in the south-eastern province of Diyarbakir on Tuesday

Anadolu said an electrical heater is believed to have caused the blaze.
