Six killed in bus stand bomb attack

Police have said that a bomb has exploded at a bus stand in north west Pakistan, killing six people.

The explosion in the Matani area is the latest violence to hit Pakistan since the May 2 US raid that killed al Qaida chief Osama bin Laden.

It also follows reports that another top al Qaida militant, Ilyas Kashmiri, was killed in an American missile strike in Pakistan.

Police officer Abdul Ghaffar Khan has given the death toll and says at least 10 people also were wounded in the blast. Many of the dead were in a pick up truck at the scene.

Officials are not yet certain if the bomb was a planted device or if a suicide attacker was involved.
