Six killed in series of Iraq blasts
Explosions have killed six people in Iraq, including a father and son who were assembling a makeshift bomb that accidentally detonated inside their home, officials said.
The pair were killed in the northern city of Kirkuk. Police spokesman Anwar Qadir said the man's wife, daughter and another child were injured in the blast, which damaged their home.
In Baghdad, a roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi military convoy in the capital's western suburb of Abu Ghraib. A police official said four soldiers were killed.
A health official confirmed the casualty figures from that attack.
