Thirteen die in China bus collision

China's state news agency says a bus has collided head-on with a truck in the country's north-west region, killing 13 people and injuring many others.

The Xinhua News Agency said the accident occurred when the bus crossed the central divider of the road and ploughed directly into the truck near Jiuquan city in Gansu province.

The report said the dead included two people in the truck and 11 passengers on the bus, which was authorised to carry 55 people but had 61 on board - including seven children.
