Three people have died after a train collided with a bus in Russia

A train has collided with a bus near Russia's border with Finland, killing at least three people and injuring 27.

The collision happened at a level crossing in Glebychevo, along the road from Vyborg to Primorsk.

The Leningrad regional government said the three dead included the train engineer and two of the 29 people on the bus. The other 27 people were taken to hospital with injuries.

The government statement said it appeared that the bus driver had not obeyed a red signal at the crossing.
