The family of a woman left with brain damage after an accident during the filming of Transformers 3 is suing the film's makers.
Gabriela Cedillo is being treated at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. She was working as an extra when she was hit in the head by a piece of flying metal during the filming of a stunt sequence in Hammond, Indiana.
The lawsuit said the September 1 accident left her permanently brain damaged, paralysed on her left side and with her left eye stitched shut.
The lawsuit accuses Paramount Pictures of negligence.
In a statement, Paramount officials said they're sorry about the accident and pledged to help Cedillo and her family.
