The Prince of Wales and his wife were reminded of their wedding - when they met twin girls who were born on that day.
Grace and Helena Jordan, aged seven, were born on the day Charles and Camilla married - April 9 2005 - and met the royal couple during their Diamond Jubilee tour of Canada.
The girls made a poster to highlight their special birthday and it caught the Duchess's eye when she joined the Prince at a Diamond Jubilee medal presentation in Toronto.
Their mother Jacqueline Jordan, an estate agent who is flying her family to England next month for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, said: "I wrote to the Prince and Duchess on their first wedding anniversary and they sent me a lovely note back and a copy of their official wedding photograph.
"My daughters have been following the Royal Family since they were born. We're coming over for the Diamond Jubilee, we're doing the whole weekend and we're going to buy a hamper from Fortnum and Mason and sit and watch the pageant on the river."
After going on a brief walkabout to greet other spectators outside Queen's Park, the legislative building of the province of Ontario, the royal couple went inside to honour six remarkable Canadians.
