Two killed in Bangkok camp attack

Two people have died in what appears to have been a grenade attack at an anti-government protest site in Thailand's capital, hospital officials said.

The Erawan emergency medical services centre says the two people killed in Sunday's attack in central Bangkok were a 40-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy. The centre says 22 other people were injured.

On Saturday night, a five-year-old girl was killed and about three dozen other people wounded in an attack on an anti-government rally in the eastern province of Trat.

The protesters are demanding that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra resign.
