Two shot dead in LA gun attacks
At least two people have been shot dead in a suburb of Los Angeles.
Downey Police Lieutenant Dean Milligan said five people were injured in gun attacks at a business and at a nearby home, where members of the business owner's family live. A woman was found dead at the house, he said.
Lt Milligan said police were looking for the gunman who apparently drove away after the shootings, which happened shortly after 11am local time.
Downey is about 20 miles south-east of Los Angeles.
Lt Milligan said the first shooting took place at the business, United States Fire Protection Services.
The family-owned company, located in an industrial part of Downey, sells professional firefighting gear and equipment such as hoses, valves and extinguishers, according to its website.
