UK telecom firm severs ties with Israeli company due to Gaza attacks
Thursday, 1 January 2009
A British telecommunications company has terminated its cooperation with Israel's MobileMax due to the country's attacks on Gaza.
FreedomCall said in an email: "As a result of the Israeli government action in the last few days we will no longer be in a position to consider doing business with yourself or any other Israeli company."
Israel's MobileMax said in a statement: "We received an email from the British company informing us that it is severing all ties with us and any other Israeli company following Israel's strike in Gaza," said CEO Raanan Cohen.
"We weren't expecting this from them and there was no prior warning. I don't intend to appeal to them or answer the letter."

Israelis voted and the Extremists won and now are leading the government, names like Benjamin Netanyahu (Prime Minister),
Yisrael Lieberman, Shas Chairman Eli Yishai (interior minister), Other Likud officials joined the coalition like Ya'akov Ne'eman (Justice Ministry) Gideon, Moshe Ya'alon (Strategic Affairs),
Politican do call it government but in fact it is a council of war, this is the choice of Israelis people.

I applaud your courageous and conscientious action to sever ties with Israel as a result of the latter's attack on Gaza which led to numerous civilian casualties.
History will acknowledge businesses like yours that uphold fairness and justice.
Don't allow the pro Israel lobby to intimidate you. You're doing the right thing.

Thanks, FreedomCall! I hope now that US citizens will follow your lead and Hang Up on Motorola -- a company that is supplying surveillance equipment that Israel uses to spy on the Palestinians in those open air prisons known as Gaza and the West Bank.

Thank you for being fair, considerate and human. Any free person/ organization should follow suit.
To bring Justice to this unfair world, one has to say "no" to injustices. What happened in Gaza ia a genocide in front of the whole world. This should never repeated to any people in the world.
What will the families of the 1400 who were killed and more than 6,000 who were injured do?
People need to put them selves in other people shoes and think: what will they do if the suffering is theirs?
Thank you

Very refreshing to finally see that the world is waking up to Israel and its misdemeanors. Well done FreedomCall and may there be many more such companies who will wake up and consciously sever all ties to what is a terrorist country per se.

statistics in israel showed that 91% of israelis are backing this war. Could it be that after all this blood shed and the killing of more than 400 innocent children and hopless women, israel is still looking for peace. I wonder, and since Aslo 1993, what did Israel give to the palestinians : thousands of widows and orphans, more than 600 check points, the continuous expansion of israeli settlements in the west Bank. does this lead to Real Peace.
What should we tell our future generations, i hope israeli polititions realize the intensity of hatered they are inflicting on the palestians through their nazi military actions on us. Many thanks for your support and the support of the free humanitarian institutions in the world. May Peace prevail in the near future

I am so proud of you. Freedomcall is a model of free world.
Israel is using the white phosphore WHY???? Israel has to know that they are not above the international law any more. Their government will be brought to justice. We promise. Their cowered act against Gaza is an example of how much hate they have against palestinans. ISRAEL STOP LYING, no one will believe you any more. You lost most of your friends.

Shayna, shows how little you know. The US provided sanctuary and succour through their legal system to some blood-thirsty killers from the Republican movement.
As for being trendy to dislike Israel - killing 300 children makes it easy to dislike anyone!

Thank you for your support to the innocent people in Gaza/Palestine.

America and the UK have been slaughtering people in Iraq for six years, how about severing ties with them? Why is Israel singled out for this treatment? Any issues about doing commerce with other - including Arab or Muslim regimes - or is it just the Jews that get this consideration? Chris

This is just fashionable nonsense and they have merely jumped on the band wagon, it's quite trendy to dislike Israel.
What if America had turned off support to Northern Ireland back in the troubles.

I wish more companies would follow their example. If that were to happen you would see a change. Sadly governments like that care more for their pocketbook than about human lives. Well done!
