Sarah Palin is going rogue: McCain backers

By Stephen Foley in New York
Monday, 27 October 2008

Bitter infighting between advisers to John McCain and his running-mate, Sarah Palin, has exploded into public view, with McCain supporters accusing her of being a "diva" and her own faction warning that they would not let her take the blame if the campaign suffers a heavy defeat.

Anonymous briefing and counter-briefing yesterday suggested Governor Palin is "going rogue" and blaming many of the campaign's senior advisers for her own plummeting poll ratings. The internecine warfare threatened to overwhelm the Republican effort to close the gap with rival Barack Obama in the final days before the election.

"She is a diva," one McCain loyalist told CNN last night. "She takes no advice from anyone. Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party."

The Alaska governor was reported by friends to have been frustrated at being denied day-to-day contact with the media, being forced instead into high-profile TV interviews where her garbled answers have been the stuff of comedy routines ever since.

Anonymous please do not perpetuate the absurd lie that "Joe the Plumber" is working class, when he introduced himself as an entrepeneur expecting to rake in 250,000 per year. But I agree that the "six-pack" label is unfortunate, not that Republicans are the only ones using it by any means. Palin represents the Joe rich-pack.

Does Sarah Palin, represent the republican party or the beer guzzlin' Joe Six-pack and the butt-crack showing Joe the Plummer as she equates herself with a pittbull with lipstick on? Can a maverick be trusted to represent anyone but themselves and their personal interest.

Also, someone needs to advise Sarah Palin that Joe Six-pack does not represent all Americans. I find it repulsive to be connected with someone named Joe Six-pack, when I do not drink. For her to claim to be a religious person she makes it sound like American are a bunch of beer drinking slobs. Is this the Norm for the Alaskan Public? It certainly does not represent the American Public.

Does anyone remember the Voodoo economics that Bush Sr. talked about during his GOP primary campaign against Regan and his trickle down economics? Regan's Voodoo econmics and its trickle down effects got us in the economic mess we are in today.
