A US soldier has been jailed for 18 years for his role in the killing of three Iraqi prisoners arrested during a raid on an insurgent camp last year.
Twenty-two-year-old Corey Clagett is the third soldier to be jailed in the United States after entering plea agreements in the case.
He admitted a string of charges including premeditated murder of three Iraqis shot dead after last May's raid on an insurgent camp near the city of Tikrit.
They were allegedly freed by a unit of American soldiers who then shot them while they were running away, some of them with blindfolds still on.
The alleged ring-leader of the soldiers responsible for the killings is due to face a court martial in March.
