Video: Koenigsegg supercar loses control and crashes into crowd at Gran Turismo Polonia motor rally in Poland

At least 19 people have been injured, including four seriously, after a Koenigsegg CCX supercar skidded into the crowd during a car rally in Poland.

Two children are among the injured. The accident happened at the Gran Turismo Polonia motor rally in Poznan yesterday.

The Provincial Governor’s Office in Poznan, western Poland, said in a statement that the driver lost control on a straight stretch of road, broke through a barrier and hit spectators. Prosecutors are investigating.

Polish agency PAP said the driver of the Swedish-made car was Norwegian.

The accident took place during the ninth Gran Turismo Polonia show, in which drivers show off their rare sports cars.

The show attracts motor enthusiasts from across Europe with more than 150 exotic cars entered in the event.
