Volcano erupts in 'Ring Of Fire'
A volcano erupted in western Indonesia, spewing hot lava and sand high into the sky.
A Government volcanologist said Mount Sinabung in North Sumatra province started rumbling days ago, prompting authorities to evacuate thousands of residents living along its slopes.
As result, he said, no one was injured when it erupted on Sunday morning.
Indonesia, the world's largest archipelago, is on the so-called Pacific "Ring of Fire", an arc of volcanos and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.
