Voters back Obama to keep US safe from alien invaders

As Barack Obama gears up for the next presidential election, he can hold out hope that UFO believers have his back.

In a rather odd survey commissioned by National Geographic, it was revealed that two thirds of those who believe alien invasion is looming would feel safer if Obama was heading the country as opposed to his rival, Republican Mitt Romney.

These bizarre findings have also uncovered a shift in attitudes of UFO enthusiasts who voted for Hilary Clinton in the past election.

More than 80 million Americans are certain that UFOs exist. The Times also reported eight in 10 US citizens believe that the Whitehouse has kept information on extra terrestrial activity and sightings under wraps.

The study also said that of those it questioned, 22% would try to befriend an alien that arrived on earth, 15% would run away and 2% would attempt to physically harm the foreign visitor.
