Judith Cochrane is married with two daughters and prior to politics worked as a management consultant.

Why did you want to become an MLA?

Like others, I had become frustrated with the lack of diversity amongst our politicians.

Apart from work and family, what are your passions?

Friends, travel. I'm a keen hockey player and play an active role in my church as a Girl Guide leader of the senior section.

What single issue would you hope to champion in the Assembly?

Building a shared future. I believe that by addressing sectarianism and division, we can start to reshape Northern Ireland.

What, if anything, is in most urgent need of change in the current Stormont system?

We need to remove the tribal designation system.
