The former councillor was the youngest MLA at Stormont when he was elected in 2011.

Why did you want to become an MLA ?

Growing up, I never imagined I would become active in political or public life, but as a result of the leadership shown by many people within Sinn Fein, I became very passionate about working towards delivering Irish reunification and equality for all of our citizens and it is something I really enjoy doing.

Apart from your family and work, what is your main passion?

I am very passionate about sport, particularly Gaelic football. I really enjoy getting out and about, meeting people and having a bit of craic with everyone I meet.

What single issue would you hope to champion in the Assembly ?

Lack of jobs. I tabled a motion proposing the establishment of an all-island job creation strategy.

Is there anything about Stormont which needs changed ?

The system is very archaic and definitely needs reviewed; the fact we cannot use laptops in the chamber needs looked at, for example.
