Education Blog: Transfer chaos petition off to flying start

We're really delighted with reaction to the launch of our petition.

One hundred signatures in just half an hour at the first school we took it to was a great start. We also have strong backing from four of the main political parties - with just Sinn Fein reluctant to sit down and sort the situation out.

Emails of support have been flooding in - I have to print out hundreds at a time.

We did a front page 'report card' on the performance of the politicians after just one day.

Trevor Lunn came top of the class - much to the annoyance of the others who were most offended at not being awarded a gold star!

Maybe a reward chart for politicians - similar to one used in many homes for misbehaving children - is something which should be considered by the Assembly....
