Let's hear it for lovely Liz Jones
Celebrity Big Brother continues apace and this season has been the most entertaining by far.
I've enjoyed every minute of it – even the cringe-worthy bits – and despite the fact that my favourite to win, Lionel Blair, got the boot very early on.
But the greatest revelation of this series for me has been the discovery of Liz Jones, the person, as opposed to Liz Jones, the writer, whom I'm followed avidly for a whole decade.
Of course, the fact that she's a fellow newspaper columnist and fashion correspondent means that I'm probably more biased in her favour than any of the others.
But I have actually grown to like her more and more each episode because she is so dam well different from the rest of the celebrity bandwagon. She speaks her mind but she's sensitive too. She's honest and self-deprecating to a fault and yet she has been the only one who has truly maintained her dignity throughout every spat, cat-fight and silly childish challenge.
I can really relate to her and would have loved to see her win. Alas, she hadn't a hope, against all the loud-mouths, queen bees and prima donnas, but at least her stay in the Big Brother House should have won over a few of her fiercest critics.
