It's hard not to take a pop at Coldplay's Chris Martin and his wife, Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow.
He's hardly the epitome of rock and roll and she's kind of insipid.
But you would have to have a heart of stone not to be moved by Martin saying that being married to Paltrow was "like winning the lottery".
Being interviewed on US TV Martin - who, in all fairness, seems to be at pains to tell the truth no matter what the circumstances - said that he hadn't had a lot of serious relationships before he met Paltrow.
When his inquisitor pointed out that he'd "made quite a leap", the singer replied: "It's a big leap? What, from being a loser, to going out with an Oscar winner? It's a giant leap. Let's face it; it's like winning the lottery."
There's always something about a man foregoing the usual male bragging that is kind of ... incredibly manly.
Added to his genuine love of being a father and I think you'll find that Martin would be very sexy in most women's eyes - so maybe it's time for critics to knock off criticising the pair.
After all, to attract the love of such a thoroughly good guy, Gwyneth must be doing something right.
